Low production, sand, erosion, casing breaks and cave-ins are a result of plugging.
It's not always the incrustation seen on the inside of the wells that can create well problems. Often there is plugging on the outside of the casing that can consolidate over time from inward pressures. Over time, water pumped from a well causes sand and silt to migrate closer to the well. This consolidation of sand and silt functions like a low grade cement; clogging the formation and plugging off the well's producing aquifer. The result is that the velocity in which water enters is restricted, incrustation builds, pumping efficiency and yield drops and, in some cases, the plugged area (often referred to as a 'bridged area') can eventually collapse from the inward pressures. In areas that remain unclogged and unrestricted, water velocity increases and over-pumping occurs. This over-pumping is a major reason for sand and structural problems.
Common methods used to dean and unclog wells:
Wire brushing: Good for clearing casing, but fails to unplug formation.
Swabbing: Time consuming & cleans only the immediately surrounding area.
High pressure washing: Effective in removing drilling fluids in new wells, but even at high pressure, only penetrates a few inches into the formation.
Dry Icing: Works in shallow wells but the pressure developed is too slow and rises too fast to penetrate the formation in deep wells.
Chemicals: Beneficial for bacterial growth but can't penetrate vast distances out into the formation.
Vibe Cleaning is the first and most important step in a well rehabilitation. When down time is a factor the job can be done in hours rather than a few days or weeks. After the Vibe Clean, the production pump can be reinstalled and the released debris pumped out as waste before going back on line. After a Vibe Clean more traditional rehabilitation procedures (swabbing, brushing, and other mechanical processes) are more effective. Chemicals travel further out into the formation and become more effective at dissolving the broken up debris.
HOW VIBE CLEAN WORKS
Sonic Vibration (Shock Energy)
A small explosive charge traveling through the targeted area at nearly twice the speed of sound creates a sonic vibration. This action vibrates the consolidated plugging at its sonic velocity; shattering and breaking it up.
Hydro Pressure Jetting (Expansion Energy)
Instant inflation (such as like inflating an airbag in your car) under water creates a hydraulic pressure wave. The high pressure water jets through well entrance openings and dislodges the already broken up plugging.
Gas Agitation (Bubble Energy)
A rapid jetting gas travels out into the formation and forms gas pressure bubbles that rise and expand in the formation. This action loosens and flushes out debris.

Vibe Cleaning breaks up incrustation, consolidated sand, silt and bacterial growth that accumulate in and around water wells, opening up water entrances, water flow space and breaks up the consolidation that bridges off the aquifer.
With Vibe Cleaning the target area is jarred by using a small explosive charge. This method of blasting (hydraulic fracturing) releases large quantities of high pressure gas at a high rate of speed (15,000 to 20,000 fps). The water functions as a hydraulic fluid and is pushed through the perforations and deep into me formation. This hydraulic shock wave surges out unclogging the perforations and fracturing the consolidated formation. Once this hydraulic action occurs, the formation around the well becomes porous and the wells' efficiency is restored.
