THE MOST COMMON REASON FOR WELL LOSS IS
STRUCTURAL FAILURE DUE TO DAMAGED CASING. DAMAGED
CASING INVOLVES COMPRESSION BREAKS, COLLAPSED
CASING, HOLES, ENLARGE PERFORATIONS AND
DETERIORATION.
WITH MANY YEARS OF PROVEN RESULTS, THE
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SWAGE REPAIRS DAMAGED CASING
AND RETURNS WELLS BACK TO PRODUCTIVE SERVICE.
REPAIR DAMAGE AND COLLAPSED CASING
The Hydraulic Swage is lowered to the damaged area. The jaws of the
Hydraulic Swage expand with over 200 tons of pressure, forcing the casing
back to its original shape. The jaws are then retracted and rotated
to a second position to ensure that the entire section is open. After
the damaged area is open, a steel corrugated liner is placed over this
area. The liner is then swaged out, fusing the liner and casing together.
The swaged corrugated liner creates a sound reinforcement with limited
loss to the well's diameter.
SEAL OFF UNWANTED PERFORATIONS
The Hydraulic Swage is used to expand fabricated liners over unwanted
perforated areas. The most common purposes for this is to stop aeration
from falling water, to seal off sand producing areas and contaminated
water zones.
MORE YEARS OF USEFUL LIFE
With the Hydraulic Swage, water wells that would normally be abandoned
due to structural failure are rejuvenated to provide many more years
of functional service.
DON'T ABANDON OLD WELLS
Casing breaks, separations, holes, unwanted perforations and water contamination
are no longer causes to necessitate drilling a new well. With the right
tool in the right place most wells can be repaired.
