CONTAMINATION INSPECTION

Surface Contamination can be located with today's technology

The failure or absence of a well seal is often the cause of contamination from surface water.

When foundation cracks or subsidence become visible around a well it is time to inspect the surface seal. Water Well Technology Inc. has combined the latest technology and years of knowledge to create a method for a thorough inspection of an all too common problem - surface contamination.

In the past many questions were left unanswered with other methods of inspections. This procedure has been designed to eliminate the guesswork.

Answered The Questions?
Is there a well seal?
Is the seal bonded?
Is a void behind the casing?
Is water entering outside the casing?
What type of formation exists?

Determined The Repairs
New surface seal?
Small patch seal?
Gravel pack pug?
Reline well?

CHECK FOR LEAKS

A video inspection is performed to determine the condition of the casing and locate possible areas of contamination (leaks. holes, ruptures or deteriorated casing).
If the well appears structurally sound it is likely the contamination is traveling outside the casing and entering further down the well. Often a typical video survey is inconclusive in searching for this type of problem and additional examination is required.

WINDOWS ALLOW ADDITIONAL SIGHT

The best way to know what happening behind the casing is to take a look. Since it is impossible to see through steel another way needed to be devised. Windows are the answer! With windows a side view camera can look directly out to the formation for a detailed inspection. After the inspection, the proper evaluation and repairs can be made. If no additional work is need the windows can simply be sealed.
